Paediatric Cardiologist

Biography

Dr Claire Irving completed her paediatric and paediatric cardiology training in the United Kingdom (including a clinical fellowship year in Pittsburgh, USA and a transplant research fellowship in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) before moving to Australia in 2015. She is currently employed as a staff specialist for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network based at both Children’s Hospital Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. She also holds an appointment as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney. She has rooms in San Clinic and is accredited at Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Dr Claire Irving looks after children with all forms of congenital and acquired heart disease as well as providing screening for cardiac conditions in families and echocardiographic and clinical assessment of all cardiac conditions. She also has special interests and training in the management of paediatric heart failure, cardiomyopathy, cardiac transplantation and pulmonary hypertension.
